Do you deliver?
We advise that you come to one of our sites to enjoy the full handover experience and ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase before you drive away. However, we do have availability to deliver your vehicle should you be unable to visit us. Because we price to sell over the internet and therefore our margins are very tight, this is a chargeable service. The price for this will vary from £75 to £150 depending on where you are based in the UK (mainland).
What does the advertised price include?
Unlike many advertised prices on the internet, we have no hidden charges for things like warranty, valeting or administration. The price we advertise is the price you pay. The only additional charges are for the cost of delivery if you choose this option, along with Road Fund License, which is a charge levied by the government and therefore as such, is out of our control.
Will my delivery date change or can I change it?
We will endeavour to meet the agreed delivery date and, to reaffirm this, your sales consultant will contact you well in advance to advise you that all the necessary pre-delivery arrangements are in hand. Similarly, should you need to change the agreed delivery date please notify us in good time to enable us to reschedule the required procedures.
How long will the Vehicle Handover take?
To ensure you are completely satisfied with the transaction, the features on your car and the facilities we have to offer, please allow approximately 1 hour to complete the paperwork and vehicle handover. Should you require clarification on any point, please do not hesitate to ask.
Do I need to insure my new car before delivery?
If the vehicle you are purchasing is to be licensed, we will require a current Insurance Certificate or cover note prior to the delivery date (originals please).
What do I need to do if I am part-exchanging my vehicle?
Please inform us immediately if there is any kind of secured load or outstanding finance on your part-exchange. The vehicle must be yours to sell.
Remember that we are purchasing your vehicle at a price which is based on the details that you have supplied to us. Should this information subsequently prove to be incorrect, our part-exchange value may be affected. We would therefore suggest that you check details such as registration date, number of owners, specification etc and inform us of any discrepancy.
Providing us with the V5 registration document, or “log book”, is of vital importance. In fact, we will not purchase your vehicle in part-exchange without it. We recommend that you also provide us with the Service Book and MOT Certificate (in applicable) in advance of the delivery of your car to enable us to verify the details.
The terms of purchase of your vehicle were agreed at the time the order was placed. You will appreciate that its body and mechanical condition must remain unaltered between this time and the delivery date of your vehicle. Similarly, nothing should be removed or swopped from your vehicle without prior agreement.
Remember that we are purchasing your vehicle at a price which is based on the details that you have supplied to us. How can I pay for my new vehicle?
Obtaining a loan through us is simple and can be very cost effective. We are licensed credit brokers and our sales managers will be pleased to provide full written details and a quotation for hire purchase, lease purchase, leasing or contract hire (finance is subject to status).
If we are arranging finance for you, it is essential that we provide proof of identity to our finance house. We are required to inspect, and forward, copies of the following original documents: Drivers Licence (both parts) and a Utility Bill issued within the last 90 days. These documents must show your current address.
In all circumstances, no vehicle can be released until cleared payment in full has been received.
Except where arrangements have been made with our supporting finance company, the balance must be paid by way of a Bankers Draft, an Interbank Transfer or Cash (by law, the maximum amount of cash we can accept is £9000). A printed Building Society Cheque from a deposit account is also acceptable subject to prior agreement.
You may pay by personal cheque but, please remember, we will be unable to release your vehicle until the cheque has been cleared. Under normal circumstances this can take approximately 5 Working Days and we therefore require payment to be made 7 Clear Days prior to the agreed handover date. Cheques should be make payable to: Nidd Vale Group Ltd. Debit cards are also acceptable but we regret that, owing to the cost involved, payment cannot be made by any form or credit card or charge card.
If your part-exchange vehicle is the subject of a current finance agreement, we will arrange payment of any outstanding settlement figure. However, please contact your bank and cancel the Direct Debit mandate, to ensure that no further payments are deducted from your account in respect of this vehicle.
